Author’s Log: NaNoWriMo 2023 Day 27

Day 27 of NaNoWriMo, and we're figuring things out.

Today was a therapy day, and we talked a lot about what I'm doing to get things back on track after a shitty year.

One of the things my therapist suggested I do is keep a record of the things that I've accomplished because I need to celebrate those victories. I haven't celebrated reading 100 books this year or winning NaNoWriMo again, and those are things I should be proud of.

I think we all need the reminder to celebrate our small wins even when they don't have big results. An accomplishment is an accomplishment, and you should feel proud when you finish something. Maybe I'll do a year wrap as a blog post at the end of the year to show all my accomplishments. Maybe, I could do weekly or monthly accomplishment wrap-ups to remind myself of the victories that I so easily forget. Just something to remind myself that I'm being productive with my time whether I realize it or not.

I hope you all take the time to do the same.
