Author’s Log: NaNoWriMo 2022 Day 9

Day 9 of NaNoWriMo, and we're still going strong!

Right now, I'm still focusing on getting 1,667 words a day, not only to get the badge but so I can keep up my lead. I'm close to being able to be three days ahead which makes me very happy.

I was able to write more setup for the conflict in Books 4 and 8, which is good. I also wrote a lot of emotional stuff today that I hope strikes well with readers because I love it.

I still love this series, but I have a lot of plot bunnies hopping around right now, and they all look good. I've seriously come up with five other book concepts since NaNo started, which is frustrating when I can find any inspiration for the rest of the year. But also, why are most of these ideas series? Why can't my brain ever come up with a standalone?

How do you feel about Your Work?: Great! I'm so happy with one of the scenes I wrote today because it adds more depth to one of my main characters and her relationship with another character.

Something Fun that Happened Today: I made an AngelCore spa in the Sims and a Dark Academia Manor! Both turned out great!
