Author’s Log: NaNoWriMo 2022 Day 27

Day 27 of NaNoWriMo, and we're still going!

I'm still trying to get as much done as I can before the month is over, so today, I focused my efforts on finishing Book 1 as much as I can. Now that I do have the word count done, I'm just spitballing at the point to fill in the blanks of what I've written so far.

But I did try something new today. I started using the talk-to-text feature on my Mac, and let me tell you how much time it saved me with typing. A lot! I tend to mistype things a lot, so just saying the words out loud for my computer to write cut down my backspace time. Also, I just came up with random filler a lot faster than when I'm typing, which was very helpful in making me finish my chapters.

Hopefully, with this technique, I can at least finish the Book 1 zero draft before the month ends. Then I can really say that I finished a novel this month instead of just starting twelve.
